Pizza Express Brand Refresh
During my time at VBP, I had the opportunity to lead the brand refresh for one of the largest pizza chains in the UK—an exciting challenge, especially as my first project at a new agency. But I knew this was the perfect fit, as the goal was to reconnect the brand with its roots. Authentic nostalgia? Always a win.
For this brand identity refresh, we leaned into the company’s original Art Nouveau logo and embraced the 1960s jazz scene that had initially inspired the brand. By reimagining its flourishes, typography, color palette, illustration, and photography, we developed a modern vintage aesthetic that felt both rooted in history and relevant today.
The result? A refreshed visual language that honors the brand’s past while positioning it for the future. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out—now I just need a pizza.
